Located in Bukit Merah Laketown Resort, Orang Utan Island is one of the main attractions for visitors to see Orang Utan.

The 35 acres island serves as for Orang Utan's protection, reproduction, rehabilitation, preservation, education, and research. It is the only conservational center for Orang Utan in Peninsular Malaysia.

Visitors need to take a boat ride with a frequency of 30 - 45 minutes, the time taken to reach Orang Utan Island is around 15 minutes. 

On the island, visitors will be guided through a 100-meter steel walkthrough cage. They will observe the Orang Utan through the steel cage. Visitors can see and watch the usual routine and life of these primates without having to worry about their safety. 

A visit to the island will assure anybody why the Orang Utan is considered one of the images of Malaysia. These primates live and breed on the island as part of the preservation and rehabilitation program.
